Respondus makes students finish the Blackboard test when it is started. If the Blackboard test gets locked and the student cannot finish the test---- the student should reboot the machine to regain control of their computer. However, this method may or may not allow students to regain control of their computer. If rebooting does not work, the student can click the I in a circle icon, click on Proctor options, and type the password escape. This will cleanly shut down Respondus. The Blackboard test, however, will still be locked and the instructor will still need to be contacted by the student. No one can do anything additional here in regards to resetting a test --- not ITS staff or Perceptis staff.
