How to import and install the SSL Certificate of Authority for Internet Explorer

The following instructions show how to import and install the SSL Certificate of Authority for Internet Explorer.

  1. Install the new ipsCA root CA by clicking the following link
    ipsCA Global CA Root CA

  2. Internet Explorer will automatically download the Certificate

  3. You will be prompted on how to install the Certificate, select Open this file from its current location and click OK

    If your security settings won't allow you to open the file directly..
    A. Save the crt file to disk (the desktop is a good location)
    B. Locate the file
    C. Right-click on the file
    D. Choose Install Certificate from the context menu
    E. Continue with the instructions at step 5 (skip step 4)

  4. The Certificate window should open automatically, click on Install Certificate...

     

  5. Click Next in the Certificate Import Wizard

     

  6. Select Automatically select the certificate store based on the type of certificate and click Next

  7. Click Finish on the Certificate Import Wizard
